Bingxu studies the immune system from molecular mechanism to designed therapeutics — discovering that human STING is a proton channel and designing high-specificity binders for peptide–MHC complexes. He trained in biology at MIT and in protein design at the Institute for Protein Design. The Living System Design Lab is his first independent group.
